SCRIPTURE:
For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)
MESSAGE.
Elders are essential personality in every areas of life, this individuals are with experience and teaching generation need to thrive, it is important that such must be highly value for the designed people to have access to the ordained blessing of wisdom to them for a better life.
When Obadiah helped servants of God in his time to escaped horrible persecution of Jezebel, feed and and preserved them for the purpose of God for their life.
This is one of the uncompromised assignment of the great personalities of his pedigree in our generation not a rebel to the cause of divine purpose on the altar to the society.
An elder should be able to renders important pieces that younger generation cannot do without in terms of advice, admonishment, support on subjects of life eg marriage, education, career, business, project etc.
Sincere advice from elderly people should be tagged divine if such is in God and considered the roles of God in his purpose as an elderly person in any circle of life.
An elder don’t watch things go bad in the society without an excellent contribution for a divine solution to all unwanted in their given capacity by the Lord.
An elder women in the land of Egypt defiled the order of the king, for they were given horrible assignment which is to kill all the male child of the Israelite at birth as a respected and known midwives of noticeable national hospital of the nation but this was turn down for it is against humanity and God’s purpose.
They make sure the children born by the Israelites were kept alive and so it was, this are great example of people with rooted fear of God in their life.
These are mothers that want other person children to be alive and fulfill the cause purpose of God in their life, such are divine personality the society cannot do without.
An elder that will fulfill this cause of divine grace of God in their life are individual who are not interested in whatever anybody will say to disagreement of such against violation of God order and social transformative situation of the people both in the church and environment at large from their bold opinion.
A godly elder are individual who are ready to sacrifice their part for the lifting of other not individual who is not interested in the growth, development, welfare of other either in the church or society at large.
You cannot see such in a situation where an issue of how other will be relegated because of an issue that can be solved and look into in a better way.
An elderly state man was invited to a birthday ceremony and he was given the microphone to anchored the cutting of the cake, he delivered a short message during this period and said, I know I will died earlier than all of you here because of his age, and in that vein he prayed God that helped me to this very stage will help each and everyone here and beyond.
Obadiah did what some people cannot do in this dispensation and environment because of self-centeredness and lack of understanding of what the privilege is to their life.

5. Oh Lord, thank you for grace over the life of the elders and the nation in Jesus name.
